We overnighted at Wal-Mart\u2019s in Columbia, SC and S. Parkersburg, WV, and were home by 10:30 AM on Friday. We had warm weather to unpack when we got home. We were totally unpacked by Friday night.<\/p>\n
Peggy and John Somewhere on the Trail<\/p>\n As you can see, we clean up well.<\/p>\n It was great trip, we stayed in beautiful campgrounds with lots to see and do. \nIt was much different than our Mexico trips and I\u2019m sure it was less expense.<\/p>\n
\nWe drove 3700 miles<\/strong>, spending $725<\/strong> for gas, averaging about 9.2 mpg<\/strong>.
\nConsidering the days at home, friend days and Wal-Mart nights as zero camp cost our average camp cost was only $15\/night<\/strong>.
\nWe paid as high as $39\/night<\/strong> at the only private campground on Jekyll Island.
\nWe paid as low as $8\/night<\/strong> at Ocean Pond Campground with no electric hookups.
\nWe canoed on 8<\/strong> different rivers for a total of about 140 miles.<\/strong>
\nWe biked a total of over 250 miles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
