We overnighted at the same Wal-Mart we had stopped at last year after touring Charleston, SC.<\/p>\n<p>The place was packed with campers but we found a tiny spot next to a lagoon behind the store that was very quiet. We again got an early start and got to the Jekyll Island campground at 9 AM. Since it was a Sunday there were plenty of available sites.<\/p>\n<p>This is really the only crowded private campground we plan to stay at this winter but it has strong Wi-Fi, good 4G phone signal, Cable TV and is right on the islands 25 miles of bike trails.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/bcpoa.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Peg-Jeykll-HortonHouses_thumb-25255B2-25255D.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; float: left; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"Peggy at Jeykll's Horton House\" src=\"https:\/\/bcpoa.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Peg-Jeykll-HortonHouses_thumb-25255B2-25255D-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Peggy at Jeykll's Horton House\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Sunday was cloudy and cool, 65o.
