Manatee Springs is a major spring but only produces a river of about 1\/2 mi where it flows right into the Suwanee. <a href=\"https:\/\/bcpoa.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PileatedWoodpecker2_thumb-25255B2-25255D.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; float: left; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px 5px 0px 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"Pileated Woodpecker\" src=\"https:\/\/bcpoa.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/PileatedWoodpecker2_thumb-25255B2-25255D-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"Pileated Woodpecker\" width=\"700\" height=\"397\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>People swim and dive in the deep spring and there is a canoe launch and a nice boardwalk to the mouth of the river. An easy walk from the campsite. We didn\u2019t see any Manatees.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday morning, while it was still cool, we did the North End Trail, a 2-1\/2 mi self-guided nature trail. They allow bikes but it has deep sand and would not have been any fun. It\u2019s about a 1\/2 mi walk from campground to get to the trail.
