Before the cold weather hit FL late Friday I was able to get in another 15 mile bike ride through the bike trails of Fishhawk Ranch. Then I had:<\/div>\n

Christmas Eve Visitors<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
Judi & Larry Fordyce, longtime friends, were down in Cape Coral with Larry’s mother and are now heading back to Cleveland and then  out west for their winter ski trip. <\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
They have a new Winnebago RV that will carry their bikes, canoe and skis. <\/span>They decided to stay with me for a few days over the Christmas holidays and take some bike rides.<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n


\n<\/span><\/div>\n
However it’s going to be a little cold for a few days, with morning lows around 32<\/span>o<\/span><\/sup><\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is what the inside of their RV looks like.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We took a cool hike around the park and Spring and on Christmas I watched football games on TV.<\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n

They took a picture of me sitting in the front of their RV.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally it warmed to near 50<\/span>o<\/span><\/sup><\/b> on Monday so we took a nice 14 mi bike ride over the trails in Bell Creek Nature Preserve, some are old paved roads some are sandy grass trails with very few markers, so we got lost once.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

We finally found our way out of the unmarked trails and Judi spotted some Peacocks along the way.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n


\n I wonder if someone has some pets or they just roam around the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dinner at La Villa<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

When we got back Judi & Larry took me out to dinner to my favorite Mexican restaurant in FL. A real taste of Mexican cooking that I’ve enjoyed since they opened about 5 years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is just up the road from the campground and Peggy and I used to ride our bike out to dinner there.<\/span><\/p>\n

But early Tuesday morning I had to say goodbye to my friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

I finally snagged a campsite closer to the river so I can paddle down the Alafia River, and take-out right next to my campsite #35. Now I’ll have to see if I can arrange a shuttle up to Alderman’s Ford Park.<\/span><\/p>\n
